Sourcing long-retention talent without borders at a difficult time

This client needed a German-speaking Business Development Director for Europe. We delivered exceptional talent that is still in position over two years later, developing and strengthening the business.

The nature of the role

This role was for a European Business Development Director for a die cast components business supplying the automotive industry. The successful individual needed to be German speaking yet a good cultural fit for a business which has its HQ in a different and southern European county

The procurement problem

Securing high-calibre talent with excellent working knowledge of the die cast component sector, but also with the acumen to drive future business through leadership, is always a challenge. With this role was the additional challenge of securing a German-speaker that would also be a good cultural fit.

The search needed to focus on Europe without allowing country borders to hinder options. We needed to look where the right talent was already excelling. It was also an unsettling and difficult time for the industry.
